Hiya People, Welcome to my first cooking post!
Many people have applauded me for my cooking skills so I thought of sharing some of my popular recipes here. You will generally find here quick and easy recipes to make as I don’t like sweating out hours in the kitchen. This one is about broccoli recipe which many of my friends have liked. Many of us don’t know about broccoli or generally have eaten it as a starter.
Reading this post, you will know about Broccoli nutritional benefits and how to cook Broccoli in order to include it in your regular diet. This one is a simple broccoli recipe that I promise you will love.
Why Broccoli is healthy
Broccoli is a powerhouse of ingredients that are super healthy for our body. Broccoli is the ideal green leafy vegetable one must consume on a regular basis.
- Broccoli is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and vitamin K. Broccoli also contains various B vitamins and other minerals like calcium, magnesium, iron, etc. Hence broccoli is good for you to maintain a healthy beautiful skin and strong bones as well
- Research shows that broccoli contains chemicals that helps the body in fighting cancer
- Broccoli is also a good source of dietary fiber which helps in reducing bad cholesterol and aids digestion. Broccoli also helps in preventing constipation and aids weight loss as well
- Broccoli contains omega3 fatty acids which is why broccoli is good for a healthy heart
- Being a cruciferous vegetable broccoli contains raffinose — a sugar that requires your gut bacteria to ferment it hence broccoli can cause gas and make you bloat but broccoli benefits far outweigh the negatives. As alternatives, don’t eat much in one go or you can boil it. Boiling broccoli will make it easier to digest but will not prevent bloating fully. In my experience, I have not had any issue with eating broccoli

How yummy! I’m just recently been getting into broccoli, because as an adult my taste buds have completely changed wanting more raw earthy veggies so I really appreciate this post! I also love the fact you’ve taken pictures of each and every step because that is extremely helpful. Thank you for sharing

Oh I LOOOOOOVE broccoli, whether it’s cooked or raw. But, as you say, too much leads to unfortunate consequences, haha. I didn’t know about the raffinose, that was interesting to learn. Your recipe looks so yummy, I think even I might be able to manage it, thank you for sharing! x
