Hey everyone, Welcome to my first post in the fashion arena.
Well, I love shopping and my friends and office colleagues have often appreciated my fashion choices. It just struck me the other day why not share my thoughts & tips on my blog and here we commence with this post on what I bought to wear for formal and casual spring outfits 2018.
Why read this post?
This post talks about the 2018 outfit trends, my ideas, tips on how to decide what to buy and what not. Will help make up your mind on what you want to buy this season. I believe in turning heads wherever I go and so will you if you follow in my footsteps.
My 5 pointer checklist that I adhere to before I buy anything is –
- Can I wear it both in office and casual outings?
- Is it worth the cost?
- How many occasions will I be able to wear it?
- Is it comfortable?
- How much is it flexible to accommodate me putting on some weight? Are there any margins?
Skirts look cool, take your body shape and give you an elegant feel. I bet this skirt will take your heart away as it did mine when my eyes fell upon it. Moreover, this color is a rare one. Pairing it with a black high-neck top gives a super classy and sophisticated look. You can also go with colors like summer green and dark blue.
This one is another great piece. First of all, it goes with all my dark-colored tops like maroon, blue, black and so on. I really like the belt and how the plates are flowing down. Before buying it, I checked out various other clothing stores and observed its one of the new fashion trends. You will find navy blue and khaki green colors in H&M for the same style. A similar khaki green skirt is also available in ‘promod’ clothing brand.
Another advantage of skirts is they embrace your body in a way no other piece of cloth does, hide your flaws and highlight your curves. This makes me fall in love with them again and again.
What’s next is an ultra-light breezy pant which no one of you can deny is the best for spring/summer season. This is available in various hues and one of the most popular summer 2018 trends. You can wear it both in office and casual outings. Also, it is great for rainy season when we all dread our clothes getting dirty.
It is a Park Avenue maroon top. Has cream-colored leaf prints all over it and adorning the neckline is a string with leaf-shaped golden beads. It can be paired with jeans, formal pants, jeggings and skirts (preferred colors:- Black/cream/navy blue).
Absolutely adorable look, isn’t it? I got so many positive comments in my office for this combination. Here in Mumbai, its’ really hot these days so this one is my go to dress now. Another advantage, both the pieces don’t require any ironing.
Green is one of the spring colors that I vouch for. My heart beats for anything that has ruffles. This top from Latin Quarters has ruffles and plates all over it giving it a different design all together.
See how I paired the top with black jeans. I generally follow the rule of combining light with dark but this green shade is such that it will go with most of your stuff. You can embellish the look with a long chain.
I know what you are going to say, another green but yeah the color seems to pop into my wardrobe again and again off lately. It seems spring summer 2018 color trends dictate this color and that’s why you see so much of it everywhere. You know the truth is I wanted a green dress from quite some time but was unable to find anything that matched up to my taste. When I discovered this piece in the store, I was pretty sure about it even before trying it on myself. Its’ takeaway is the simplicity and fall of the garment. You can wear a long pendant chain to give it a dressy look.
One of the cute spring outfits that I bought this season is a lovely floral dress. Floral prints are one of the must have fashion for spring 2018. The dress has a crushed feel to it all over. Wear it with casual shoes, big studs or danglers and the ensemble will make you look wow wherever you go. I think this addition to my wardrobe is going to be cherished.
Out of the many clothing stores that I have purchased from, my favourite is H&M for formal wear and Latin Quarters for casual wear. Given the price range, variety and quality of material, they both stand out from the rest. All the above items stand in the price range of 1200-3000 Rs.
Fashion trends change from time to time but picking up the right outfit that complements your body shape and complexion is the key to finding the apt one. I also believe if something looks good on you, no matter what the trend, you should definitely go for it.
So how did you find this post? Which of the above ones is your favourite? Will love to hear your feedback. Let me know in the comments below.
